Xbox Game Pass EU: Buying and Redeeming Codes
The EU Xbox Game Pass listing carries 5 plans — 1 Month to 12 Months. Here is the plan set as it stands today, the region rule that decides where the code redeems, and the steps Microsoft publishes for entering it.
This is the EU guide to buying a Game Pass prepaid code: what the European Union listing holds (5 plans, 1 Month through 12 Months), how the code reaches you, and the redemption path that decides which account the time lands on. The family is sold one page per market because Xbox's own support pages say a subscription card is only redeemable in the country or region purchased — a page written for another market does not describe this one.
What the EU Listing Carries
What the European Union listing carries right now: 5 plans, from 1 Month to 12 Months, under Essential and Ultimate.
- Plan names: 1 Month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, 3 Months Xbox Game Pass Essential, 3 Months Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, 6 Months Xbox Game Pass Essential and 12 Months Xbox Game Pass Essential — copied from the listing itself.
- Lengths: 1 Month, 3 Months, 6 Months and 12 Months.
- Delivery: one prepaid code, issued automatically after payment.
Availability is mixed on this page: 1 Month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is marked out of stock and cannot be selected, while the remaining 4 plans can be ordered as shown. The EU plan list reads live, so the disabled row appear as the catalog holds them.
Why the Region Rule Decides the Purchase
Region decides usability here, and the source is Microsoft rather than this store: Game Pass subscription cards are only redeemable in the country or region purchased. The European Union listing is the family's page for that market, which is also why its plan set differs from the India and Japan pages — the catalog lists what each market actually carries instead of one universal ladder.
What Game Pass Includes
Xbox publishes the plans on its own comparison page, and the set differs by plan.
- Essential — 50+ games on console, PC and more devices, online console multiplayer, and no new release titles on day one.
- Ultimate — 500+ games on console, PC and supported devices, new games on day one, plus EA Play, Fortnite Crew and Ubisoft+ Classics.
Xbox states that titles, number of features and availability vary over time, by region, Game Pass plan and platform — so the list above is the honest picture for EU.
How to Redeem the Code
Redemption happens on Microsoft's side:
- On the web: open xbox.com/redeem in a browser — redeem.microsoft.com leads to the same page — sign in to the Microsoft account that should receive the plan, and choose Redeem code.
- On the console: press the Xbox button to open the guide, go to the Microsoft Store and choose Redeem code, signing in as that same account.
- Enter the code: type the 25-character code from the order page exactly as shown, select Next and follow the prompts — the prepaid time is applied to the account signed in at that moment.
- If it is refused: contact live chat with the order number instead of retrying — Microsoft's own guidance for a wrong code is to go back to the retailer.
How the Code Reaches You
Delivery is digital and automatic: the code is issued the moment the payment is confirmed, normally within minutes, and it appears on the order page and in the inbox. Nothing is posted and no address is needed — which is also why the listing's own note says codes can be safely stored and redeemed later. The order status stays visible in the account afterwards.
Before You Buy
What to settle before checkout: the plan set above is the EU market's own — 1 Month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, 3 Months Xbox Game Pass Essential, 3 Months Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, 6 Months Xbox Game Pass Essential and 12 Months Xbox Game Pass Essential — and the account that receives it has to be in the matching region, since a Game Pass subscription card redeems only where it was bought. Nothing is collected here beyond the order: no Microsoft password passes through this store, because redemption happens on Microsoft's side.
Buy Xbox Game Pass in EU
The EU page carries the 5 options above with the code issued automatically after payment, so the purchase is normally finished within minutes. Order the Xbox Game Pass EU listing for an account in the European Union; if a different market is needed, the India page and the Japan page are the family's other options.
