Buy a Steam Wallet Gift Card for Costa Rica

Steam Wallet credit for Costa Rica is sold here as a code with a face value in Costa Rican colones — 5 denominations, 2,750 through 27,500 — delivered to the order page and inbox once payment clears. Redeeming it puts balance in your Steam Wallet, which Steam describes as working like a gift certificate for games, software and other store purchases. Nothing is tied to a specific game until you spend it.

Face Values on This Page

The ladder as the listing shows it: 2,750 Costa Rican colones at the bottom, 27,500 at the top, 5 steps between.

• 2,750 Costa Rican colones
• 5,500 Costa Rican colones
• 11,000 Costa Rican colones
• 16,500 Costa Rican colones
• 27,500 Costa Rican colones

Five steps from 2,750 to 27,500 colones, each one a multiple of 2,750 — the whole ladder is built on a single unit.

Read the ladder from the bottom up: the low values cover a single purchase, the middle a couple of months of buying, and the top a balance meant to sit in the wallet.

Which Account This Is For

Costa Rica is priced in colones and is the only CRC listing in this family, so nothing else on the page quotes the same figures. Colones sit alongside the region's pesos and soles, and each of those is its own currency at Steam's checkout — the listing you buy is the one whose values match your planned purchase, and the value converts to your wallet's currency at redemption.

What the Balance Pays For

The balance is store credit with one purpose: Steam purchases. Steam's own description is that gift cards and wallet codes work like gift certificates, redeemed on Steam for games, software and any other item sold there. Two details follow from Steam's documentation rather than from us: the code converts to the currency of your Steam Wallet when it is redeemed, no matter where it was bought, and your wallet balance is held in your account's own currency.

How to Redeem

1. Sign in to the Steam account that should receive the balance — Steam requires you to be logged in to redeem a wallet code.
2. Open the Redeem a Steam Gift Card or Wallet Code page in the Steam client or on the store site.
3. Enter the code exactly as it was delivered and confirm.
4. The value is credited to your Steam Wallet immediately and shows in your account's balance.

Delivery

Delivery is digital and automatic — the code lands on the order page and in your inbox minutes after payment clears, with no card in the post, denominated in Costa Rican colones. Nothing is sent to Steam until you redeem it yourself, so the timing is entirely yours. If it does not behave as described, contact live chat with the order number.

Before You Buy

• You have to be signed in to a Steam account to redeem a wallet code.
• Steam states that a gift card or wallet code is converted to the currency of your Steam Wallet upon redemption, regardless of where it was purchased.
• The balance is wallet credit rather than a game key, so it applies to whatever is in the cart.
• This listing's customer note confirms the code can be safely stored and redeemed later.
• Nothing is sent to Steam until you redeem the code, so when to credit the balance is your decision.

Worth knowing before you buy: because Steam converts a wallet code into the currency of the account that redeems it, the figure on this page describes what is credited rather than a storefront you are locked to. What you are choosing here is the amount, and the amount is what the ladder above sets out.
