MapleStory M Top-Up: The Three Fields Explained

Ferdousur RahmanOct 7, 20264 min read198 views

Most top-ups ask for one or two fields; MapleStory M asks for three. What the Player ID, Server and Character Name each resolve, how the Maple Points ladder from 90 to 9790 is shaped, and what to read back before paying.

Three Fields, Not One or Two

Most top-ups on this site ask for one or two fields; the MapleStory M listing asks for three - Player ID, Server and Character Name - and the order is not delivered until all three describe the same destination. The MapleStory M top-up listing sells Maple Points in six sizes from 90 up to 9790, delivered directly to the account those fields pick out together.

Field One: the Player ID

The Player ID identifies the account the delivery is aimed at. It appears in the game's account or profile screen, and like every identifier on this site it should be copied rather than typed. It also carries the most risk of the three: the other fields narrow the destination down, but this one decides whose account that is, and a delivery that lands on someone else's account cannot be retrieved afterwards.

Field Two: the Server

MapleStory M keeps characters in separate servers, and the server field names the one your character lives on. It appears beside your character in game, and if a character has ever moved between servers it is worth reading the current one rather than the remembered one. Together with the Player ID it narrows the order to a single account in a single place, which is exactly what makes the third field necessary rather than redundant.

Field Three: the Character Name

The Character Name is the field other listings do not have, and it exists because MapleStory M is played through characters rather than a bare account screen. Entering it records which character the order was placed for, the same way you would pick a character before handing anything over in game. Names are exact strings, so copying the name as the game shows it - spaces included - resolves the one ambiguity the ID and server cannot.

The Maple Points Ladder

The six sizes - 90, 410, 1590, 3190, 6390 and 9790 Maple Points - climb steeply at first and then tighten toward the top, so the gaps between entries are widest where budgets are smallest. Maple Points are the paid currency of the game's cash shop, which makes the ladder a set of budgets rather than a set of items: decide what you intend to buy first, then take the smallest pack that covers it.

Why All Three Fields Must Agree

The three fields are not copies of each other - each removes a different ambiguity. The ID says whose account, the server says where it lives, the character name says which character the order is for. Get any one wrong and the other two can still look entirely plausible, which is precisely how an order arrives correctly at the wrong destination. Read the triple back before paying; it takes a few seconds and costs nothing.

Before You Pay

Copy the Player ID from the profile screen, read the server beside your character, spell the character name exactly as the game shows it, and check the pack size covers what you meant to buy. Entries out of stock are marked unavailable on the page rather than sold and then cancelled. Ordering something else at the same time? the Marvel Rivals top-up needs only a Player ID, and the Azur Lane top-up pairs its User ID with a server of its own.

Buy a MapleStory M Top-Up

Maple Points run from 90 to 9790 across six sizes, and every order is delivered to the Player ID, Server and Character Name entered at checkout. Buy a MapleStory M top-up and the points arrive on the account those three fields describe, with nothing to redeem inside the game.
