Buy a Google Play Gift Card for the UK

A UK Google Play gift card is store credit for the British Play Store, issued in pounds sterling and delivered as a code rather than a plastic card. It loads Google Play balance, which the British store spends on apps, games, in-app purchases, books, films and subscriptions, so the buyer never has to leave a card on the account. The code is generated and sent automatically after payment is confirmed. The United Kingdom is its own store region and sits outside the eurozone, so this card belongs to an account whose country is set to the UK — currency and country have to line up together.

Denominations on This Page

Six denominations are listed, running from 5 pounds up to 200 pounds: 5, 10, 25, 50, 100 and 200. Each is the card's face value in pounds and the amount credited to the balance, with the price of every step in this page's own table. The ladder is the widest spread of the euro listings' British counterpart — it starts low enough for a single in-app purchase and runs high enough to fund a year of subscriptions in one card.

Which Country This Card Is For

The UK store prices in pounds sterling and sits outside the eurozone, so a euro card will not redeem on a British account and this card will not redeem on a eurozone one. The British catalogue is its own as well: the same app can be priced differently from the euro store, so the balance you load is the one that matches your account. Redeemed balance does not follow a later change of the account's Play country, and cards are not refundable or transferable unless the law requires it — the same limits apply here as in every other region.

Availability

Availability is shown per option on this page: one of the six steps is marked out of stock at the moment, and the smaller steps are the ones that tend to sell out first. Read the status beside the step you want rather than assuming the ladder is uniform — a neighbouring step covers the same purchase if your first choice is unavailable.

What You Can Buy With a Play Balance

• Apps and games sold through the British Play Store, paid straight from the balance.
• In-app purchases — currency packs, passes and levels — bought through the store rather than with a foreign card.
• Subscriptions billed through the British Play Store, where Google's country terms allow balance to cover them.
• Books, films and TV shows in the countries where the Play Store sells them.
• Leftover credit that stays on the account for the next purchase instead of expiring.

How to Redeem

1. Sign in to the Google account that should receive the balance.
2. Open play.google.com/redeem, paste the code and select Redeem.
3. In the Play app, tap your profile picture, open Payments & subscriptions and choose Redeem code.
4. At checkout you can also open the payment-method list and pick Redeem code instead of a card.
5. Confirm the account shown, and the credit is added immediately.

Delivery

The code is digital: it appears on your order page and in your inbox automatically once the payment is confirmed, normally within minutes. Nothing is shipped and there is no plastic card in the post — what arrives is a code for the British Play Store, in pound. If anything looks wrong with it, message live chat with the order number and the exact message on your screen, and we will check the order against it rather than asking you to guess.

Before You Buy

• The account's country has to be United Kingdom — Google checks that when the code is entered.
• Gift-card balance cannot be used as a family payment method.
• Redeemed balance does not move if the account's Play country changes later.
• The code is normally a 16-digit combination of numbers and letters.
